USPTA Professionals must be at least 18 years old, pass the on-court and written portions of the exam, and complete Stage 1 and 2 of Coach Youth Tennis. They should be able to organize and implement most tennis programs, assist with and develop competitive players, and assist with and/or direct pro shop management and facility maintenance. Depending on the person’s experience, a USPTA Professional’s job description may range from assistant pro to head tennis professional. USPTA Professionals are required to earn 6 credits every three years to maintain their membership.

While we specialize in youth tennis, we offer lessons to all who are interested in learning the game. We also offer racquet stringing & repair as well as product consultation.


JTT  Winter/Spring  2014*

“Hernando Youth Singles Series”

Dates: February 8, 15, 22, March 1, 8, 29, April 5 & Finals April 12

Location: Nature Coast Tennis Courts              

Time: Youth Divisions (8’s, 10’s, and 12-Dot Ball) 9:30 to 11:00 
Juniors (14’s and 18’s) 11:00 to 1:00 (For our 14’s and 18’s, if there are less than 16 player, we will play from 11:00 to 12:30)

Fee: $15.00 per date of play.

Each Saturday players will play 8-game pro-sets to try to move up their individual ranking among the JTT players. If time permits, further conditioning and drills will follow the 8-game pro-sets. 

Series Finals, April 12, the player with the highest ranking in each division (8’s, 10’s, 12’s, 14’s, and 18’s) will be the top seed players. The winner of the singles tournament will be declared the Hernando Youth Single Series Champion .

Traditional JTT format is scheduled for Summer 2104

Delta Woods Park 

Monday's *5:30 to 6:30 pm Quick Start Drills
Drills and games designed for beginning players  10 & older using the USTA approved strategies for those 60’ court players. Learn to play tennis quickly with age and size appropriate equipment and modified courts.

*6:30 to 7:30 pm Ladies Night Out
Women of beginning or intermediate skill levels learn & play in a fun social setting. 

All of the above classes are $10 each  with a  minimum  of four participants.

 Silverthorn Country Club

6 to 12 years old  Tennis Wednesday's 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm 

$10 per class with a minimum of four players.

 Doubles Drills & Strategies Class 

Wednesday's 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm Silverthorn Country Club

Open to all players who would like to improve their doubles game and get in condition at the same time!

$10 per class with a minimum of four players.

Feb 5, 19, 26  Mar 5, 12, 19, 26  Apr 2, 9, 16, 23, 30  May 7, 14, 21

Adult Team Tennis Hernando Park, Brooksville Library Courts Fridays 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.                                                                        

Each team consists of ladies and men with varied abilities for singles and doubles. $25.00 per player or $5.00 per night for the season; includes tennis balls and awards.  Snacks and refreshments will be provided. by teams on a scheduled basis.
